The band Silly caused a scandal at Leipzig’s promotion celebrations in 2016 by appearing on stage in shirts of other East German clubs such as Union Berlin, Dynamo Dresden, Hansa Rostock and Magdeburg. The fans gathered in the market square were furious at the open snub. It was a gesture that would have been unthinkable at most other clubs.
